Between filming Part VI and Part VII, Ben Milne and Joe Rowson took the opportunity to get involved with the hippest young director on the indy scene, Sion Mali. Between them, they created this highly original film, based on a real life incident where electricity did actually come out of Joe Rowson's hand.
Mali was delighted to have worked with Joe and Ben, saying "those cats are whack man, hot diggedy, they got moves, they damn fine, shiiit".
The new production hasn't gone down with all members of the FOTDL gang. Harri Grace stating publicly "I simply don't believe that electricity ever came out of Joe's hand". Reg Noyes was even more scathing, saying "It's a B-movie. I've never been impressed by Mali's work, this simply confirms what I've always said- you don't become a good director simply by calling people 'cats'."
