On September 29th 2004, Reg Noyes was at home watching Home Alone. Although he knew that it was a purely fictional film, it made him realise that "there are thousands upon thousands of little boys and girls who are abandoned as Macaulay Culkin was, but without the wit and cunning to do anything about it." Inspired by the film's happy ending, Reg vowed that he would "not rest until every child in the world had a home with parents who loved them". Following this bold decision, Reg set about organising the FOTDL Charity single, Beat It, by Michael Jackson, released in Christmas 2004.
Two years later and Reg's dream is a long way off. The single didn't have the success that he had expected, and even by the most generous of standards, Reg has been resting.
As for the rest of those involved, they look back on the time with happy memories. Says Harri Grace, "I enjoyed the music video, it was good to get back to my first love, dancing. Not many people know that my background's in dancing. I'm a dancer. Not a gay dancer though."
